- Uniformed Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards
The Activity Reporting System is designed to collect information on the activities of faculty and academic staff in order to meet the requirements of state and federal reporting. Federal reporting requirements previously stated in the OMB A-21 Circular have been superseded by the Uniformed Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, called the “Omni-Circular”.
- National Institutes of Health
The National Institutes of Health provides support to faculty through the NIH Career Development Awards. These awards have very specific requirements related to faculty effort. Departments who have individuals who receive career awards (K-awards) can find more information here.
- Illinois Board of Higher Education Cost Study Guidelines
The Activity Reporting System also meets the requirements that are defined by the Illinois Board of Higher Education Cost Study guidelines. The IBHE Cost Study is a series of comparative cost accounting reports that are used to measure the cost of instruction at Illinois state universities.
